Example for one Developer: € 199 support flat rate + 160 hours * € 0,20 / CDE hour. Infrastructure cost is based on Azure pay-as-you-go pricing for the Sweden Central region in May 2024, where a 4-core / 8GB RAM machine costs approx. € 0,14 / hour, and an 8-core / 16GB RAM machine costs approx. € 0,28 / hour. Prices for infrastructure can vary significantly, depending on cloud hosting provider, region, and required resources. DevStack can be self-hosted on any infrastructure provider of a customer’s choice.

If you want us to host DevStack for you (SaaS), we will invoice you for the incurred infrastructure cost with no surcharge. You pay a flat-rate managed service fee of € 399 / month and € 0,20 license fee per CDE hour and get a transparent invoice for the additional infrastructure cost incurred. DevStack pricing is targeted to be most attractive for CDEs with high resource requirements.

With Cloudomation DevStack, you get a cloud development environment (CDE) which is fully equivalent to your local development environment. Compared to other CDE products, DevStack differentiates itself with:
- Low barrier to adoption: source code can be stored locally, developers keep existing workflows, only the deployment of the software is moved to the CDE
- Self-hosting option: customers can host DevStack in any infrastructure of their choice (cloud or on-premise), allowing for significant cost savings compared to other pure SaaS-vendors
- High flexibility in deployment models: DevStack can be customised for any deployment model. Software can be deployed on single or multiple VMs, in containers, in K8s clusters, serverless, or in any other deployment model that is required. Special hardware requirements such as GPUs can be added. DevStack pricing is independent of resource requirements and therefore particularly attractive for complex and heavy-duty deployments, which DevStack is uniquely suited to handle.

Our product Cloudomation Engine is used as automation & configuration backend tool. It is included in the DevStack licence. Cloudomation Engine is a Python-based, general-purpose automation platform that automates the deployment of CDEs. You can also use it to automate other processes and integrate all the tools you need, e.g. CI/CD pipelines. Cloudomation is so far the only company that provides its own automation platform in addition to cloud development environments.
