The Story
The Beginning
The story of Cloudomation began in 2017 when Stefan Mückstein and Margot Mückstein started working on a product to help companies address complex challenges through automation. The Company was founded in 2019.
The Idea
While there were automation tools available at the time, few allowed the level of flexibility needed for full customization.
Cloudomation aimed to fill that gap.
The First Product:
Cloudomation Engine
With Cloudomation Engine, tasks can be precisely automated using Python, giving engineers full control over what is automated, how, and when. This approach allows companies to tailor automation workflows to their specific needs.
The Second Product:
Cloudomation DevStack
In 2023, Cloudomation introduced DevStack, a platform designed to provide Cloud Development Environments (CDEs). These on-demand environments come pre-configured with the tools software engineers need, significantly streamlining the development process.
Another Step Forward:
Platform Engineering
In 2025, Cloudomation takes another step forward with Engine and DevStack evolving into a platform engineering product. This marks a shift toward enabling software engineering teams to build and manage scalable platforms with the same level of customization and precision that has been central to Cloudomation’s philosophy.
